Dr. Paul Drach has served Marshfield since 1979, and his father practised here from 1944. Over the past years he has added more than 400 hours of Chiropractic Neurology training, which is a different way of getting at old problems.

Instead of adjusting an area because of symptoms or restrictions, treatment is directed at the area that will let the brain respond with better control, of the whole body and of the part that hurts.

Many patients here arrive after other approaches have not worked. That history is useful, not embarrassing.
Examination and assessment similar to that of a medical neurologist, focused on how your brain and nervous system are actually functioning.
Adjustments to the spine or other structures as needed, designed to be as gentle as possible while still changing the brain's response.
Because therapies are matched to each individual's daily neurological function, this kind of care cannot be mass produced.
Chiropractic has always been brain based. This is the small part of the profession that still treats it that way.

Adjustments designed to maximise proper input into the brain so it can regulate and restore health to the body. Studies have shown an immediate improvement in brain wave patterns after this type of adjustment.
Ask about thisA leading non-surgical alternative for disc related syndromes of the lumbar and cervical spine. Pain free, and clinically proven to resolve or greatly reduce back, neck, arm and leg pain, numbness and tingling.
Ask about thisSpecific therapeutic activities for brain focused rehabilitation, targeting the dysfunctional areas of the brain and nervous system rather than the symptom alone.
Ask about thisNutritional supplements alongside the care, for the part of recovery that happens between appointments.
Ask about thisWhen an adjustment is given, local nerve receptors are stimulated, the signal travels to the spinal cord and up to the brain, and the brain can then give an appropriate response to restore health to that area. That is the whole premise, and it is the one chiropractic started with in 1895.
Chiropractic has been part of the Drach family for over ninety years. When Dr. Paul's father, Dr. Irvin A. Drach Sr., was a small child he was diagnosed with pneumonia and his parents were told he would not live more than a few days. His grandfather took the horse and buggy into town to bring the new local female chiropractor out to the house. She adjusted young Irvin a few times over the next couple of days, he recovered, and he grew up knowing what he wanted to be.
Dr. Irvin graduated from chiropractic college in 1942, began practice in the Milwaukee area, and moved to Marshfield in 1944. He retired in 1980 after thirty-eight years of service here.
Dr. Paul was therefore raised in a chiropractic home. He attended the University of Wisconsin in Eau Claire with a biology major and chemistry minor, graduating with High Honors, then went to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport. He graduated in 1979 as co-Salutatorian and came straight back to Marshfield.
Over recent years he has completed more than 400 hours of Chiropractic Neurology training and is now a Board Eligible Chiropractic Neurologist. Jayne Frahmann joined the office in 2018 as a Chiropractic Technician with many years of patient care experience.

“I have had numbness in my arm for at least 10 years, caused from work and old age. I tried Dr. Drach and he has done a world of good. I know I have less tingling in my hand and especially my fingers. He also helped me with my balance, as I could not walk down the street straight. I weaved all over the sidewalk, and he cleared up my balance to the point I can walk a straight line.”
“Before I came here my back hurt a lot. My whole leg was in extreme pain. I never felt anything like it before. I went to my doctor and he gave me some pills but they didn't really do the job. Since coming to Dr. Drach, I feel much better. A whole lot better. Almost as good as before the problem started.”
“When I first came in I was in extreme pain and just couldn't move. I was stiff and didn't know what to do, or where to turn. I had gone to two other chiropractors, physical therapists, and a sports medicine doctor and nobody could really get it fixed up. Now, I feel 100%. I'm mobile, I can stretch, I can bend, with no pain. It's great. I'm happy. Real happy!”
It evaluates the neurological condition of a patient with a focus on brain function, and treats using non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical therapies. Examination is similar to that of a medical neurologist; the treatment tools are what differ.
Instead of adjusting an area because of symptoms or restrictions, treatment is directed toward the area that will let the brain respond with better control. Only about two or three percent of chiropractic works this way.
Spinal stenosis, bulging and herniated discs, migraines, chronic pain syndromes, balance disorders, numbness, dizziness and vertigo, and fibromyalgia, among others.
A non-surgical option for disc related syndromes of the lumbar and cervical spine. It is pain free and clinically proven to resolve or greatly reduce back, neck, arm and leg pain, numbness and tingling, and disc bulges, herniations and protrusions.
